Smoke, thunder & the Hammond organ
Forged in London in 1968, Deep Purple became one of the founding fathers of hard rock and heavy metal. With the thunderous organ of Jon Lord, Ritchie Blackmore's virtuosic guitar, Ian Gillan's searing vocals, Roger Glover's bass and Ian Paice's powerhouse drumming, the band blazed a path through rock history. Smoke on the Water remains one of the most recognisable riffs ever written.
